As a disability advocate, I am passionate about driving positive change and creating inclusive environments. With my role as the Executive Director and Founder of Oak Tree Academy, I bring together a blend of professional expertise and personal experiences to empower families and individuals within the disability community. Since establishing the Academy in 2005, I have actively sought collaborations with organizations, businesses, and fellow advocates who share our commitment to disability advocacy. Together, we strive to foster inclusivity, raise awareness, and create transformative initiatives that enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities. 
Despite our recent emergence on social media, we have successfully built a dedicated community of over 4,000 followers on Instagram. Our platform caters to the needs of special education parents who are seeking guidance and support in advocating for their children. It is disheartening to note that according to Open Doors Organization (ODO), a non-profit organization specializing in disability advocacy, families of children with disabilities often bear additional expenses due to the necessity of having a companion to aid in their child's care. These companions may include grandparents, aunts, close friends, or dedicated caregivers. Our mission is to provide valuable resources and assistance to parents navigating the complex journey of advocating for their children with special needs.​
​Even though this venture is new, we’ve been working in the disabilities field since 1999. Our goal has always been to highlight what works and where there is need for improvement. Our organization is proud of the work we’ve done to help children reach their full potentials and we aim to bring that same hard work to paid collaborations.
