Disney’s DAS Is Failing Disabled Guests—Here’s Why It Matters

For years, Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS) was a gold standard for accessibility, helping disabled guests enjoy the parks with reasonable accommodations.
But as of May 2024, most guests are being denied DAS, leaving them with unworkable "alternatives" that create more barriers instead of reducing them.

The Problem:
Disney’s Alternative “Accommodations” Are Not Solutions

Instead of providing true accessibility, Disney now expects disabled guests to:
  • 🚫 Wait in line until it becomes unbearable and then try again.
  • 🚫 Navigate through crowded queues alone to join their group.
These so-called accommodations assume that all disabled guests can safely navigate large crowds, endure long wait times, and manage sensory overload—which is simply not possible for many individuals with mobility, sensory, or anxiety-related disabilities.
Why This MattersDisney has built its brand on inclusivity and magic for all, yet its current DAS policies exclude many disabled guests from fully experiencing the parks.
💡 Denying access is not accessibility.
💡 Forcing disabled guests into impossible situations is not inclusion.

Speak Out: Your Voice MattersIf you or someone you know has been denied DAS, share your story.
🔹 Raising awareness is the first step toward change. Disney must do better—and the more voices that speak out, the harder this issue becomes to ignore.
📢 Join the conversation on social media and let Disney know that accessibility matters.
