Hey, hey, hey! Thanks for learning more about how you can work with Oak Tree Academy Disability Travel Project. On September 1st, 2019 the non-profit Oak Tree Academy created a new disability travel research program which we've called Never Ending Disney. It will specialize in helping families of children with disabilities learn everything they need to know to plan an exciting, stress free Orlando/Disney World vacation as well as sharing valuable information on other fun travel locations. At Never Ending Disney we're aiming to create informative and enjoyable written content/videos/posts that cater to families of children with disabilities and Disney fans! As always, we will also share important tips to help families of school aged children receive the free and appropriate education designed to meet their unique needs.
Although our social media presence has just began, we have developed our audience with over 5000 followers on Instagram. Our readers are families, looking to plan stress free vacations that cater to their needs of their family. Did you know that according to Open Doors Organization (ODO), a non-profit travel disabilities travel organization, that travelers with disabilities often pay double to the travel double because they will bring along a companion? That number is even higher for families of children with disabilities. They may often bring Grandparents, Aunts, best friends, or companions to help with the needs of a child with a disability.
Even though this venture is new, we’ve been working in the disabilities field since 1999. Our goal has always been to highlight what works and where there is need for improvement. Our organization is proud of the work we’ve done to help children reach their full potentials and we aim to bring that same hard work to Never Ending Disney.
